N Gauge

The N Gauge layout, has a single track platform to the front and the two main running lines, both which will have platforms added at a later date. Round the back there is a 5-road fiddle yard (two in each direction and the 5th one works both ways.) The layout is to be DCC so we can have the sound and lights as in the real railway. The layout will be controlled by the LENZ system which used throughout the club layouts. All the rail droppers to ensure good electrical supply to the rails are now in place and the next phase will be to have point motors fitted. In the long-term overhead wires will be fitted as there is a new 3D printed system which has come on to the market in the last year or so. This looks as if it could fit in well with some future projects, as there are some EMU’s coming onto the market soon. Also some kit models are coming to market as well. At this moment in time, it called “The N Gauge layout” because we don’t have name for it.
